Worshiping in a manner that is meaningful for you.

Our Vision:
To Share the Gospel so all may become mature disciples of Jesus Christ
Our Mission:
To reach out to welcome all and together walk with Christ.
Church History
Our “little brick church” has been located here since 1810 with the first building being constructed in 1831 on River Rd. In that time, the pastors were circuit riders who preached the gospel wherever folks would listen - sometimes in cabins, taverns, barns or even in open fields.

Our present building facing Cherry St. was built in 1856 with additions in the 1950s, 1962 and 1977. Although extensive remodeling and additions have been added over the years, we are still known as that “friendly little church on the hill”.
If you like a little more details, check out the history compiled for the 150th anniversary.

Our doors remain open for all seeking new paths on which to travel and new friends with whom to walk.

The history and significance of the Cross and Flame emblem are as rich and diverse as The United Methodist Church. Following more than two dozen conceptualizations, a traditional symbol—the cross—was linked with a single flame with dual tongues of fire. The resulting insignia is rich in meaning. It relates The United Methodist church to God through Christ (cross) and the Holy Spirit (flame).
